1. About these terms
These Terms & Conditions apply to travel services arranged or provided by Bertins Travel & Tour. By making an enquiry, paying a deposit, or confirming a booking, you agree to these terms.
2. Bookings and confirmation
All bookings are subject to availability and are only confirmed once we have provided written confirmation. Please check all booking details carefully, including passenger names, travel dates, destinations, and services selected. You must notify us promptly if any information is incorrect.
3. Prices and payments
Prices are based on the information and availability provided at the time of quotation. Prices may change before a booking is confirmed due to supplier availability, exchange rates, taxes, or other costs outside our control.
Any deposit, balance payment date, payment method, and applicable charges will be confirmed to you in writing before your booking is finalised.
4. Changes and cancellations by you
If you need to amend or cancel a booking, please contact us in writing as soon as possible. Changes and cancellations may be subject to charges from airlines, hotels, tour operators, insurers, vehicle providers, or other travel suppliers.
Any refund will be assessed in line with the terms of the relevant supplier and any applicable consumer rights. We will explain any charges or available options where possible.
5. Changes or cancellations by suppliers
Travel arrangements may occasionally need to change because of circumstances beyond our control, including airline schedule changes, accommodation issues, weather events, government restrictions, or operational requirements.
Where a significant change or cancellation affects your confirmed booking, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and explain the options available to you. Your rights may depend on the type of booking and the applicable law.
6. Passports, visas, and travel documents
You are responsible for ensuring that you have valid passports, visas, health documents, entry permissions, and any other documents required for your journey.
Bertins Travel & Tour can provide visa guidance and application support, but we cannot guarantee visa approval or accept responsibility for decisions made by embassies, consulates, immigration authorities, or border-control officials.
7. Travel insurance
We strongly recommend that all travellers obtain suitable travel insurance before departure. Insurance should be considered for medical emergencies, cancellation, delays, lost luggage, and other unexpected events.
Travel insurance is subject to the terms, conditions, limits, and exclusions of the insurance provider.
8. Third-party suppliers
Flights, hotels, car rentals, excursions, transfers, insurance, and other services may be provided by independent third-party suppliers. These services may be subject to the supplier’s own booking conditions.
We will take reasonable care when arranging services on your behalf. Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude rights you may have under applicable law.
9. Traveller responsibilities
You are responsible for arriving on time for flights, transfers, tours, and other booked services. You must comply with airline, hotel, transport-provider, destination, health, safety, and local-law requirements.
We may be unable to assist where disruption is caused by a traveller’s late arrival, missing documents, failure to follow instructions, or inappropriate behaviour.
10. Complaints and assistance
If you experience a problem during your trip, please notify the relevant supplier and Bertins Travel & Tour as soon as possible. This gives us the best opportunity to help resolve the issue.
For post-travel complaints, please contact us in writing with your booking reference and full details of the concern.
11. Privacy
We use personal information only as needed to arrange travel services, communicate about your booking, and meet legal or operational requirements. Relevant information may be shared with travel suppliers where necessary to provide the services you request.
12. Governing law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Nothing in these terms affects any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.
