Logistics Terms & Conditions

These terms explain the basis on which Bertins Logistics may provide collection, transport and delivery services. They are for general information and do not remove rights available under applicable law.

1. Quote and instructions

Services are provided according to the written quote, booking confirmation and shipment instructions agreed with you. You must provide accurate collection and delivery details, contact information, item descriptions, weights and any handling requirements.

2. Prohibited and restricted goods

You must not ask us to carry unlawful, dangerous, perishable, prohibited or restricted goods unless we have confirmed in writing that we can do so and the required information and documentation have been supplied.

3. Packing and readiness

Unless agreed otherwise, you are responsible for suitable packaging, labelling and making goods ready for collection. We may decline, delay or pause a collection where goods appear unsafe, inadequately packed or inconsistent with the booking details.

4. Collection and delivery

You are responsible for ensuring authorised persons are available at the collection and delivery points. Delivery times are estimates unless a specific commitment is agreed in writing; traffic, weather, access restrictions and other events outside reasonable control may affect timings.

5. Loss, damage and concerns

Please inspect goods as soon as reasonably possible and tell us promptly about any loss, damage or delivery concern, with supporting details where available. We will investigate fairly. Our responsibility is assessed under the agreed service terms and applicable law.

6. Charges, cancellations and privacy

Charges, payment arrangements and any cancellation terms are set out in your quote or booking confirmation. We use your details to arrange and complete the service and may update these terms from time to time.
