Donation Terms

These terms explain how Save the Child Foundation handles voluntary donations. They are general information and should be reviewed with appropriate UK legal advice before being relied upon as a final policy.

1. Voluntary donations

Donations are voluntary and are accepted subject to applicable law. By donating, you confirm that you are entitled to use the payment method or funds provided.

2. Use of donations

We aim to apply donations to support the Foundation’s charitable and community purposes. Where a donation is given for a clearly stated restricted purpose, we will seek to use it for that purpose where reasonably practicable; if this is not possible, we will contact the donor where appropriate or apply the funds in a lawful way consistent with the Foundation’s objectives.

3. Refusing or returning donations

We may decline or return a donation where this is necessary for legal, ethical, safeguarding, fraud-prevention or administrative reasons. If you believe a donation was made in error, please contact us promptly with the relevant details so we can review the request fairly.

4. Donor information and privacy

We use donor information to process donations, provide receipts or updates where requested, and meet legal or safeguarding responsibilities. We will handle personal data in line with our applicable privacy practices.

5. Safeguarding and conduct

We are committed to acting responsibly in work involving children and communities. We may refuse engagement, support or donations that could compromise safety, welfare, integrity or compliance with law.
